"No Cover Girl"

No' shes no Cover Girl.
Yeah' just plain and simple.
With dreams of her own.

She has this shell around her.
And she stays within its core.
You know, she has this inner beauty.

That no one has ever taken the time;
to discover to encourage her.
Oh' if someone could only see.

The beauty that lives within her.
This girl' shes smiling on the outside.
But shes crying on the inside.

Can anyone see her tears.
How long can she hide her pain.
She knows shes not getting any younger.
~~~
Maybe someday, love will come her way.
She just keeps giving of herself.
While shes counting down the days.
~~~
In the meantime, shes smiling on the outside.
But shes crying on the inside.
Yeah' shes dreamed of turning heads.

But reality comes to light.
Oh no' shes no Cover Girl.
Just plain and simple.
~~~
With dreams of her own.
While this world is caught up;
in fashion and Vogue magazine.
~~~
Someone needs to tell her;
about the real world;
were living in.
~~~
And that only a precious few;
walk down that runway.
She just needs someone to hold her.
~~~
And tell her shes someone special..
Yes' shes smiling on the outside
But shes crying on the inside.

Can someone make her dreams come true.
No' she's no cover girl.
Just plain and simple too.
