 Football Season
The air turns crisp,
the sun hangs lower in the sky.
Electricity fills the air.
Football season has finally arrived
and a whole city joins together in mutual anticipation.
Devoted fans sport their favorite player's jersey,
faces are proudly painted in the team's colors.
Conversations turn to statistics, coaching and injuries.
Barbeque grills are fired up.
Pots of chili simmer on the stove.
Fantasy football teams are formed,
as friends scramble to choose the best players.
Disinterested wives become widows,
sadly relinquishing their spouses
to a football frenetic world.
The stadium is filled to capacity,
creating one united body
whose heartbeat is deafening.
The stage is set once again.
With the flip of a coin and the first kick off,
a hopeful new season launches playful rivalries
and the ultimate quest:
a superbowl championship.

**I am a devoted football fan,GO REDSKINS!**
