UNREQUITED
Stop.
Don't speak the words...
...you can't make them live!
Yes,
I know I'm in denial
but I don't care.
What we are
what we have
is real...
rare.
You know it too; it's tangible.
You
are the one
in denial.
Don't tell me it's unhealthy for me to
hold on,
for me to hope.
the way you resist accepting love?
That's unhealthy.
No,
I can't "un-love" you!
Even if I could...
I wouldn't.
Even if you never love me
as I do you,
giving love is...
...a necessary part of my being;
it's like breathing to me.
Why won't you
let me help you heal
and simply
let yourself love?
Feelings this strong, this real
deserve to live
if only in a box in my heart marked
"Do not open until reciprocated."
