Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Pretend to be better...

I remember you,
The smile that never waned.
I remember you,
Emotions never feigned.
I remember you,
A diamond in the dead.
I remember you,
Clothed, dirty and fed.
I remember you,
Another thorn in my side.
I remember you,
When my trust has suddenly died.
I remember you,
Just itching to cut me down.
I remember you,
Your smile, your frown.
I remember you,
Can't shake you from my mind.
I remember you,
Another dismantled find.
I remember you,
All the advice that you gave.
I remember you,
When I needed to be saved.
I remember you,
Another day down at the bay.
I remember you,
Full of angry things to say.
I remember you,
All the drama and the dark.
I remember you,
And how you left your mark.
I remember you,
And all the nasty things you said.
I remember you,
How you made me feel so dead.
I remember you,
Running up and down the field.
I remember you,
How your lips were always sealed.
I remember you,
Through trial and error.
I remember you,
From the thrill to the terror.
I remember you,
You were hiding from it all,
I remember you,
I watch as you fall.
I remember you,
I can't look, you hurt my heart.
I remember you,
And how you tore me apart.
I remember you,
From first until last.
I remember you,
How you live in the past.
I remember you,
Throwing words as sharp as arrows.
I remember you,
Stabbing me deep into my marrow.
I remember you,
How you took away the pain.
I remember you,
Am I crying? Is this rain?
