Fairy Tales
And she meets prince charming
And they live happily ever after. . .
I think we should ban the writers of these fairy tale books
Because everything you read is never quite as it looks
Where's the bit about prince charming breaking her heart
When he cheated on her, they must have forgot that part
And what about the real Cinderella that never got to the ball
She's still at home lonely; her fairy godmother never did call
And what about the ugly duckling that never turned into a swan
All that false hope given, do you not think that, that is wrong?
And the Beast never found his Beauty, Pinocchio is nothing but a toy
Snow white is still stuck with the 7 dwarfs, she never found her dream boy
The Princess is still stuck in the tower waiting for Mr Right to come along
So far there have been, Mr Arrogant, Mr Player, Mr A*hole and Mr Wrong
So why fill the kids with fake illusions, that the world is rosy and bright
It's not fair to get there hopes up, to knock them down, it just isn't right
Don't tell them exactly how it is, but don't lie and say how it's not
Because why tell them all these fairy tales, they will soon see what is what
