All the dinosaurs came and got Barney
And so we bond.

April May Dance Until June

September Embers.
September ends on a fine note
the giggling of children
like tinkling eighth notes,
carries across the crisp crackle of leaves,
as they patter onto buses for school.
The geese above wail their farewell dirges
in long horn like blasts.
Leaves dance in spiraling pirouettes
on their swan songs to the ground.
The sky above spreads its perfect blues
with nothing to cloud its resonance.
October will make a grand entrance
stepping out through the patchwork
curtain that September has lowered over the earth
Its breathtaking pageantry will cause all to whistle
a haunting tune as pumpkins grow scorched
from the waxing and waning of this season.
November will perform the final act,
in pure white pages of unfinished song
that will bring a muffled softness,
a lullaby to the earth below
as it begins its long winter nap.
