Ring of light
Light round my head
Crown of the universe
I follow your strands of light
And find space full of your fabric
Not void and dark
As one would think
Out I go
I follow strings of light
Strings of love
And find a universe filled with life
So tiny are we
So big are our collective hearts
Though the best way to know
Is by the sound of the wailing as
Our collective hearts break
Sorrow,
Why do you have to be so loud?
Why can't our love and joy
Outweigh
The darkness?
Is it because light will always weigh less?
Why is it that the joy is only made greater
When it's won from out of the darkness?
It's a rhetorical question.
We make love before we go to war so that there is some light we can take into battle with us.
We make love when we survived it, and then cry relentlessly afterward.
Yet even in the embrace of the darkness we find the comfort of warm blankets and our mother's womb.
In the light we can find blinding disorientation from the
Interrogators lamp.
So the light and the darkness dance back and forth
For without one another we would see nothing.
Huh… man that was deep.
Keep dancing my friends
And between the light
And the darkness
May you find
Yourself.
