April showers they say
Bring forth the flowers in May
When pretty petals in sun uncurl
Their beauty to the world unfurl
And deeply drinks the majestic tree
At living waters running free
It sends forth its leaves on branches high
Beneath the showers of rainbow sky
The river water sings along
Once a stream now flowing strong
And cherry trees of petal bowers
Rejoice to dance in abundant showers
The roots of vegetation in plaintive cry
Call for living water or else we die
Then drink deeply of the falling rain
And cry aloud; we live again
Then all of nature with thankful voice
Cries; come sing with us and rejoice
Let praises rise with joy and mirth
For falling rain that sprinkles earth
For we who endured the dying hours
Are refreshed and quickened by God sent showers
Yes He sends the rain filled cloud
Perhaps with lighting and thunder loud
For dying nature cries not in vain
The Lord does send an abundance of rain
And withered hearts of Christians cry
Refresh us Lord for we are dry
Your living waters for it we thirst
Let your showers of blessing upon us burst
Refresh our souls; oh let the waters bring
Life to weary hearts and then we will sing
Halleluiah to our Lord for abundance of rain
Our thirsting souls are refreshed again
For the praise and glory is yours
Thank you Lord for blessing showers
