the rapacity of time
is unacceptable to the quality of life,
the demonstration of avarice
from pompous authoritative
leading domineers,
leaves mutilated souls
in the destructive wake,
life is not measured in the
stamp of hours from the time clock,
priorities are not eighteen hours
of strenuous, mind numbing work,
priorities exist on the
prairie plane of living,
where providing is essential,
providing for living,
providing in jubilation and zest,
the calculation of the
completely summed time
spent on drudgery
is ten to the googol
more than life was designed,
when the physical is
six feet under loam and muck,
no amount of material objects,
are capable of replacing
what the soul and heart
willingly bestowed,
intolerable greed for self-indulgence
with political wing talk
of coat tails and lollipop trails,
leaves no acceptable error for being human,
the philosophical ideal
of one hundred percent of
every mind thinking in
synchronized, standardized means,
begets the reality
of life created
with uniqueness and variety,
draws closer to a
monotheistic view
of black-and-white t.v.
and never a serious wrong,
a band-aid can not
cure the rapacity
which spreads
every Minuit moment,
growing in the fashion
of the plaque of
centuries past,
the cure lies simply
in ignorance of complacency,
living life with the intent to
fill heart beats and
inhalations of oxygen
with the most life
that can be absorbed.
