A moment in my life that marked a significant change or turning point was the last wreck I was in. Before the wreck, I was the type of person that would see a wreck and would think "that won't ever happen to me". Then in October of 2004, it all changed. My mom and I were going to meet my uncle and my brother in Conway. When we got almost to Conway, this man in a van decided to pass three cars. He was driving at least 60 in the other lane and we had slowed down to 45 when he hit us. Luckily my mom had got two tires off the road right before he hit us. My mom and I only had tiny cuts and a few bruises. Everyone at the hospital was shocked that that was all we got and said we were very lucky to be alive after it. After that day, I always were my seat-belt and I no longer think "that won't happen to me" because now I know it can.
