Thank you Gary for coming into my life. I just hope and pray, I can be a good wife, to you.
I remember us going to the barbeque
It was so great just spending time with you.
The smells of a hundred different vendors
the night's beauty, a hundred other splendors.
We laughed and ate till we had our fill
watching happy faces cooking over a grill.
Nothing had prepared me for one little thing
the moment when you gave me the ring.
You told me you had written a poem to me
I asked you could you please let me see?
There in the little black box I did spy
the most beautiful ring, I wanted to cry.
You asked me on your bended knee,
"Susan will you please marry me?"
Without much hesitation, I must confess
I uttered the word, the word was, "Yes."
