Serene Lather

Long before electric razors and twin blades,
were straight razors that gave a close and true shave.

My grandad had one and it was handed down to me,
the strap and it hangs on my wall next to a picture of him.

I wish i had the mug the brush he used to stirred the lather within,
I suppose their just things now returned to the wind.

one day I'll join grandpa when i leave this world of sin that i see,
and walk beside him for infinity in Gods lather of love and serenity.
