a coffee shop moment.....

bouncing, buzzing voices,
merge into a sound
that's vibrant strong and happy
and circles all around...

plates and cups all clatter,
machines frothy sing
as ladies nibble pastries
and little lemon things...

i sit cocooned in echo
away from all that's sad
and smile inside this moment
with a heart alive and glad...
