When My Son Laughs.....
When My Son Laughs.....
When my son laughs
I get the cheesiest grin
when he is happy
so am I
it's so simple to look into those eyes
and see every dream realized
every doubt erased
when my son laughs
when my son laughs
all my troubles seem so far away
the things I can't control
I release them even if briefly
how can I not
when my son's face looks at me
ever so sweetly
I see Heaven
when my son laughs
when my son laughs
my fears take a back seat
all the stress that clouds my mind
is replaced with faith
belief that the whole world
doesn't kiss the devil's feet
I see hope
when my son laughs
