The rain may fall; the winds may blow
The storms of life rage all around
When the river of trouble may overflow
Flee to God where peace is found
The clouds may shroud the darkened sky
When the sun hides its golden rays away
When raindrops are the tears you cry
Bring your burdened heart to God today
A hurricane may its anger spew
When a constant stirring its rage will start
Then God will ride its winds for you
And bring His comfort to your heart
For to the storm He calls peace
The winds of distress to stop their blowing
The raging torrent He bids it cease
And stems its waters overflowing
To all the raging He calls be calm
The restless storm brings into line
He knows all hearts given to the Lamb
And in each one His sun will shine
He brings a peace the world can't understand
An unchanging God who still walks the waves
In sins waters sinking; reach for His hand
And you will find that Jesus saves
So when the storm is raging around you sore
Know He is in the rain and squall
He is guiding you to a calmer shore
For God is master of it all
