I took a little walk,
in the woods today.
I stopped in a path,
along the narrow way.

I take a look around,
at everything I see,
And it's God's grand creation,
Here all around me.

I see a path of flowers,
all in beautiful bloom,
They've an elegance of color
and a sent of fragrant perfume.
~~~
The smell of the Dogwood trees,
are carried through the wind,
Now I walk on a little farther,
Just to take it all in.

Just ahead of me,
I spotted a fawn,
I stopped for a moment,
to gaze upon.
~~~
This small little creature,
who was lurking all around,
She was standing there all quiet,
Not making a sound
~~~
In a quick sudden moment,
she turned her head,
She spotted her mother,
And quickly they fled.
~~~
Now the birds, are singing,
in nature's own hue,
The leaves are falling,
Soon beginning a new.
~~~
I take in the moment,
of this most serene place,
It all plays a part,
At a slow moving pace.
~~~
This is the place,
where nature, has turned leaves and stone,
This is God's most precious handy work,
This is where I like to come, and walk alone.
