I have found in life, well mine;
That if we accept the way it is for us,
Ride the storms, take your time,
And never make any fuss.
Then things will come to pass,
That will seem not as bad as we thought,
So I accept the way my life is;
Of course, just as I ought!
But it doesn't mean that I can't cry!
When I am against the wall again,
Being beaten down, as one does,
Trying to suffer this unmerciful pain!
Now this is not one of self pity,
Cos that's not allowed in my life!
And no matter what; and no matter when!
I will never give in to this strife!
So yes I cry and complain, of course!
I am not one who lie's you see;
So all that I am, is all that I am,
And I am all you know me to be!
With me I have to tell it true;
What you see is all you get in me!
Nothing more, nothing less;
For I am all that I want to be!
So that means accepting this life as it is,
And accepting all the pain that I bear;
Fighting the fight, night after night,
Even when it doesn't feel very fair!
But I am not one to ever give up!
And I am sure the hell not brave, no way!
It's not a case of; aren't I the good one,
Cos I cry at times too, but its ok!
But my years come at night,
As I lay in my bed and ponder;
But I don't worry; cos what would that get?
Negative energies I shouldn't wonder!
Negativity isn't in my life!
For I have to tell it true!
If I was a wimp who gave up!
I guess for me that just wouldn't do!
So I lie in my bed in the dark of night,
And I cry out all of my pain;
Then go to sleep, after my weep;
And face a new positive day, again!
If we accept the way things are;
Then the path of life is easier to follow!
And my choice of path, well, that's easy;
It's the path of focus and strength for tomorrow!
