SEIZE THE DAY
My thoughts, they wonder from time to time
Always searching for reason and rhyme
Seize the day, was the title of the email I read
Leaving an impression, of do it today, excuses fled
Gave me goose bumps
My throat felt blocked from the lump
Eyes that teared
Smile that frowned
My heart was blue
Knowing that the words rang true
Life is not a race.
Take it easy, at a slower pace.
Hear the music before the song is over.
Sing the words, smell the white sweet clover
Life may not be the party we hoped for, take a chance
But while we're here we might as well dance!"
