Mud And Flower Pies (Childhood Memories)

I used to love doing this
Whenever I went outside,
I used to gather pretty, colorful flowers
And make up some mud pies.

I'd gather up some dirt
Get myself a long stick,
Add a few cups of water
I didn't want it to dry too quick.

I'd throw in some petals
Off the flowers that I had,
Stir the ingredients together
It didn't look half bad.

I would mix it all up
And pack it all down,
My friends always said
They were the best pies in town.
