LOVE'S YEARNING
Speak not from the lips my love,
but from the heart;
for all the words of Earth
cannot bear the meaning of
the deep well of feeling
that flows within your soul.
It aches to be heard.
It yearns to set the emotions free
to be embraced by another
kindred spirit...
Give me your heart.
I promise not to break it...
...for how could I hurt the most
precious treasure ever shared with me?
Give me your hand.
I promise not to let it go...
...for how could I release the warmth there
that feels like life-blood to me?
Give me your thoughts.
I promise to listen always...
...for how could I not want to become
a piece of the dreams held within your mind?
Come along with me now;
let us sojourn and build memories
that belong only to us.
As we walk side by side
letting light into our lives,
we'll savor the sweet taste of unity,
hearts open wide
and love's yearning
will be fulfilled.
