Conception

One compassionate night i came to be,
from two lovers under the sheets soon they would see.
that her blood never came and my mother did say,
oh my dear love i have something important to say.

Mom said honey I'm late i believe i am with child,
just for a second dads eyes were quite wild.
After the shock my father held mom near,
and said i love you baby and held her quite near.

Nine months did go while i gestated within,
i was conceived in love it wasn't a sin.
In a room full of lights and people in gowns,
i emerged into the world with out a sound.

The doctor grabbed my feet and held me up side down,
he smacked my rear and i made my first sound.
in a few hours my eyes they did see,
this beautiful world and one called mommy.

She and my father have meant,
everything to me from that day,
from my birth to my death,
in my hearts love they will stay.
