Moving On...
Living here...
Into the new...
Unheard...

lunch at the coffee club...
tiny whispered
secrets
midst smiles
soft-complete
small sips of
coffee
munch muffins
high and sweet...
eaves-dropping
gossip
from ladies
in your face
loud harsh
and horrid
a public disgrace...
fish and chips
and salad
eaten without
word
concentration
careful
clicking cutlery
clearly heard...
thick enormous
sandwich
mouth
open wide
man alone
with paper
relaxing
quiet inside...
sauce covered
nachos
melted cheese
in strings
girls intent
on crunching
their taste buds
sweetly sing...
an aged
group
all chatter
between each
hurried chew
bits of food
all scatter
as they catch
the latest news...
i crunch my warm
bruschetta
and sip my
coffee slow
my pumpkin soup
i swallow
then it is
time to go...
