You have sang the hymn that Jesus loves me
Have you asked yourself why He hung on a tree?
Loving you He died with arms stretched wide
By the covering of blood your sins He will hide
Have you pondered and wondered about God's great love
Sending His dear Son down from above
Bleeding and dying and rising from the grave
Oh what love for sinners to save
Read the words in the Bible of the preacher Saint Paul
How he penned in his letter love is the greatest gift of all
I am an empty vessel if I have no love for your soul
Pointing you to the Saviour who will make your life whole
My tears should fall for Jesus did weep
Crying in pity for the lost sheep
With love in my heart; I write in this poem
Come to Jesus and make Heaven your home
Oh what love tender and true
Jesus is seeking and calling for you
The words; I love Him; I cannot really say
If I do not love you and for you I do not pray
How can I these words lightly speak
I love Jesus; if for lost souls I do not seek
Love for others in my actions they should see
Then they will know what Jesus means to me
He is my Saviour; the One I adore
The living bread of life and the open door
He is my beating heart and every single breath
The sustainer of my life until He closes my eyes in death
Heaven is waiting; my Lord will come for me
O' my dear Jesus how I love thee
Trusting my Saviour it is a comfort to know
His love for me will not let me go
