Poetry For Everyday People

Buddha

Pure instincts,

jasmine clinging,
climbing, reaching
relentlessly to spread
fragrance from blooms,

a kiss on the soles
of your feet traveling
within you, as love,
as fear, as air, as peace,

sweet light of being floats
unattached in a meditating
state of pure poetry,

the pouring of ones
soul fountain is
a cleansing of society's
agendas, history, mockery,

the bravest dive
within, endure beyond
humanity's reach,

here is where I search
for you, bending musical notes
some place safe, beautiful,
reach-ably beyond,

quilting understanding
in a comfortable state
of simplicity,

squeezing the moon
rocket free.
