YES, they died
The Iraqi War,
Casualties, deaths,
The statistics we all abhor
YES, they died
A tear formed in my eye
As I read what was said and why
They died for the rich to become richer
YES, they died
So less than 1% can have as much
As they want, not what they need
They died for boasting rights and greed
YES, they died,
For a better education
For a better life
And for silver and gold
YES, they died
Because a president lied
About reports of those who spied
End the war the chant heard world wide
Vote for this poem
YES, they died
