Poetry For Everyday People

Cliches

They all say they know
what we're going through,
they know how we feel,
they've been there,

enough cliches in this world
to strangle it's spirit,

nobody knows what we feel,
what our personnel struggle
is, what makes us breath easy,
what makes our hearts weep,
what goes on in our heads,
what we've seen, experienced,

freedom isn't government issued,
although they will claim it,
it's self obtained through clear
eyes and a relentless search,

solitude's ambitions have constantly
saved this world,

individuals have constantly saved this
world,

not the herd of cliches.
