The Purple Rose is sacred
so precious is it's hue
symbolic of a peace flower
a rose meaning love so true
Pure velvet is it's petals
on a stem of vibrant green
no other flower equals it
none like this has been seen
I honour you my precious friend
as you look down from above
this flower is my tribute
sent with gratitude and love
This was your favourite flower
the colour purple, the rose was you
it forever is a symbol of
our friendship deep and true
I send the rose in Spirit
you will receive it just the same
there is no other flower I
could honour with your name
One year since we lost you
and I know that you'd have chose
no other tribute fitting, none
but the Purple Rose
