 What Can Man Do To Me?

Keep your life free from love of money,
 and be content with what you have;
for he has said, "I will never fail you nor forsake you."
 Hence we can confidently say,
 "The Lord is my helper,
 I will not be afraid;
 what can man do to me?"

Hebrews 13:5,6 RSV

What Can Man Do To Me?

What can man do to me?
 I know what it means to be free.
My sins held me in dark despair
and I could find no solace there.

For years I tread this awful path,
But now I've found I'm free at last.
For Jesus stayed so close to me
Until at last, I finally see.

He shed his blood to give me life
And free me from my sin and strife
Now I must live for him alone
And for my sins I must atone.

Now, what can man do to me?
