DID YOU SLEEP WELL, MY LOVE?

My King in his bed
Rest up for your Princess
As the dreams in your head
Mend those wired fences

That keep you awake
When it's blackness you seek
My commands you take
To let quiet sneak

Into your mind
While I'm in your heart
Remember I'm kind
When we're not apart

Morning comes quick
With it's cold day ahead
Someday you'll kick
Being alone in your bed

You'll do what's right
What gives you rest
Me there with you at night
Is all that is best

Yes, you will see
Okay, you'll know
That without soft me
Sleeping won't go

On to the vision peacefully there
Splendorous angels circle the ceiling
While your Princess is here
Thinking of the feeling

As only she can
To her big lion King
At night to understand
That her love will bring

The comfort you need
The skin against skin
As you sleep take heed
My lover and my friend

Man was not made
To be alone
God gave him a maid
To help him be home

Your maid is me
I serve you my laughter
And as you know
You're the King that I'm after

Did you sleep well my love?
Fulfill those desires
That God up above
In you inspires

With my kind
The lot of woman
Close your mind
Shh! before morning's coming...
