Not much, anymore.
Blessing our food has taken on a whole new meaning!
Our eggs are soaked in bleach
In order to kill the bacteria
Teaming in the overcrowded
Egg Producing Coops.
And our grains are poly-coated and genetically modified.
Whatever milk used to be, has been erased
By pasteurization and homogenization
After it spews forth from cows dosed
With antibiotics and growth hormones.
Bacon is laced with cancer causing nitrites and nitrates.
And corned-beef could destroy our brain.
Our fruits and vegetables are infused with pesticides.
And then they are irradiated for "safety"
Because killers like e-coli invade the water they drink.
The same water that often stinks of pollutants.
The air our food breathes is also riddled with disease.
As if maliciously, almost all of the food and drink we can buy
Is tightly wrapped and packaged in hormone-damaging plastic poly.
Thanks to nifty deals like NAFTA, we have no idea where our
food comes from anymore.
Sadly, you can not trust much of anything you buy at the store.
Lastly, whatever nutrients may remain, are destroyed
Because we are so busy we must then cook in a microwave.
It is nothing short of a miracle that we are still alive.
