As a boy I saw an old out back cowboy
Who'd been hurt and in wheel chair~
He was shoeing his horses one day
And to this day I do declare~
He was putting his horses shoes on
With a drill using self tapping screws~
He told never does the damage of shoe nails
And they'll never fall out it's true~
He told he always used the same holes
And never any damage to the hoof~
I watched closely what he was doing
And I could not believe the proof~
A drill and self tapping screws
They stay there and so does the shoes~
In any type of country at all
No more loose or lost shoe country blues~
He worked with such ease in A wheel chair
And never even broke a sweat~
I've never seen a better fitted shoe
Put on a horse as yet~
