The Will of God
I awake to the morning light,
Shining in the window bright;
And thinking about as I lay,
So joyously of the new day.
Having a gratitude in thought,
Feeling what God has brought;
Of a gift He was able to bless,
In words of rhyme to express.
With every breath that I take,
Knowing God does not forsake;
As my lungs fill up with air,
Shows to me that He does care.
Ears to hear and eyes to see,
For the splendor of the beauty;
My heart rings with jubilation,
Marveling at all of His creation.
God has surely shown His will,
From every valley to every hill;
And so I am returning the favor,
Using my talent for His endeavor.
