Old memories of time
How our lives have come to be
What treasures we can find
When I wore a young mans clothes
Time seemed to pass so slow
Playful thoughts were all I chose
So much I did not know
Lived each moment with passion
Struggled with broken hearts
Loved all the girls in passing
Merely playing the parts
In life I saw no lesson
In love I saw no pain
I kept tomorrow guessing
Of what there was to gain
Old mans clothes I now adorn
So swift does time go by
And new dreams are seldom born
I do not question why
I look back at tomorrows
I thought would never come
To see all the sorrows
A lesson in each one
Of the knowledge I have gained
The stories I can tell
Of my passion has remained
Each moment lived so well
