Promise Ring
To my one and only
I give to you my heart
With this ring I promise
We are off to a new start
A new beginning for us
No more looking in the past
No more arguing about what used to be
Life goes by too fast
Over the months I have seen a change
You are not that guy anymore
I know you could not put that pain upon me
Like you did once before
It was so hard in the beginning
I was just ready for the end
But I gave you a second chance
So you could prove you wouldn't do it again
We would argue so much
I would be so mad I would cry
But no matter how much I would yell at you
You held me, you stayed by my side
I would blame you for everything
Because the trust just wasn't there
You broke my heart into pieces
An injury I thought you couldn't repair
You gave me everything
To prove you would be true
When I had none of me to give
You still gave me all of you
You have been very patient
When I was not so kind
Over time I have learned to trust you
And leave the past behind
I hand to you my heart
I give you my full trust
I want no other man
You are the man I love
With this ring I promise
To give you all you need
No more arguing about the past
I give you all of me
