Cancer
You may taken away my breasts
but you couldn't take my womanhood
You may have taken my hair
but my hair grew back even more beautiful
You may have tried to take my life
but I won that first battle
You tried to take away my dignity
but I refused to give it to you
You tried to make me believe that I was no longer a woman
that no one could possibly ever want me again
but I refuse to believe that because I am still me
and I am lovable still
