I passed a woman in the street today;
She looked a little sad and blue;
So I smiled a smile, and said; ‘hello!'
Then she smiled and said; ‘hello' too!!
I said to her I had an infection;
Told her it's as contagious as can be!
So I wanted to pass it around!
And give it to everyone I see!
So off I went down the street,
Smiling away, as I do!
And passed a little old man, I did…
So I gave him my infection too!
So off he went a-smiling and happy,
Skipping as he walked away!
And I patted myself on my back, I did!
Cos I gave my bug away twice this day!
And the old ladies at the bus stop;
Looked so sad and down…
So I smiled at them as well;
And suddenly they lost their frown!
Cos one by one they smiled right back,
And I gave a little giggle with glee!
Cos once again, I shared my germs,
And those germs came right back to me!
Then off I went once again,
Smiling away, as I do!
And passing my germs to everyone,
Just as though I had the flu!!
But this infection though highly contagious,
Is a wonderful disease to have; it is!
Cos when I pass my infection around;
It really does the biz!
Cos it makes the people who look so sad,
Smile; and it seems to brighten their day!
