The Mistress of Word Play

At times we are blessed to see,
the grace of God, His majesty,
and such a wonder I have seen.
Lost to all but those few,
who travel out by morning dew,
I saw the wonder of God's grace.
Mist it rose from the water below,
and the cold it made it seem like snow,
dressing the trees along the shore.
The sky was ablaze with pink and silver,
as that scene unfolded I felt a shiver,
for I felt blessed to share that wonder.
There lost between the here and now
I wondered not at the where and how
but only enjoyed the glory.
Entranced by the sight that lay before
cast upon that isolated shore
I felt my soul redeemed.
Tossed across that heaven of blue
the colors of the rainbow cast askew
I saw all life unfolding.
Time will never be able to erase
the comfort I received from that place
I saw God's gentle hand.
