THE OSCARS FOR YOU---ALL OF YOU

Nominated for the imagination
Of their souls
The lights are lit
Glamour rolls

In the audience of peers
Hallelujah, a chorus sings
Dancing down the aisles one hears
The awards our Monique brings

One for drama, how she can pout
Another for the epic lines
Moreover, for the words that shout
With our poetry we've paid the fines

Stood before the judge and jury
Been neglected, unloved, almost killed
While at our Oscars there's no worry
We've all won because we've healed

Those emotions, dreams, ideas, thoughts
The words that flow like a great river
Tonight applause for all that's brought
The Poets' Oscars, where we're all the winner!
