Rain is falling outside on a dark starless night
I'm here all alone and there's no-one in sight
Tears falling silently and I don't quite know why
It must be that I'm thinking of you and that's why I cry
Remembering how we loved to share rainy night like these
We listened to the rain drops knowing life offered no guarantee
Words were not neccesary as the silence said it well
Quietly we whispered our thoughts as the raindrops fell
Hey, don't think I'm tripping out on a pity party on my own
As I am too strong to allow my future plans to be blown
But the past hangs around and never lets me be
I'm just wondering when will I become totally free
Free from wondering where you and I went so wrong
Am I the weak one as you appear to be strong
Reminiscing upon past water under the bridge
Today I allowed my mind to stand on the ridge
The ridge of an endless emotional pit
Without you in my world where I will never fit
