USED TO CHECK ON YOU

Go out to your house
Be as quiet as a mouse
Leave my lingere' on your car
Didn't get me very far

Go out to your home
Sit there like a yard gnome
Left her a note to let you go
Didn't get me very far, you know

Go out to your town
Tried to get you to come around
Last time you called the cops on me
Just proves you're not really free

Go out to your place
Tried to give up the disgrace
Of having to fight for you
While I am your woman who's blue

Go out to your cat
Imagine that
Used to check on you
All it taught me---no man's true

Go out to your room
Expect love that will zoom
You wouldn't even stay in bed with me
And you want me to love you faithfully?
