feeling so numb
and heart is breaking
faking strength
upon each waking
stir and open your eyes
take your hand,
and greet the sunrise
Though things are
difficult right now
and silent tears
still fall,
I know that I
just need to look
past the hurt
to find the light,
my smile within,
for it's there
throughout the darkness,
it's there...
shining bright,
that inner light.
No need for words,
you know that I care
we'll just bask
in the love that we share
we are thankful
for another day
