Entering through the door of hope
We enter into the Shepherd's sheepfold
Placing us on His path of righteousness
Welcome to the highway of holiness

Instructed not to look to the left or to the right
Keeping our gaze only upon the prize
Jesus, the single focus of our eye

Deep ditches lie to the sides of this great path
Warning us to keep balance to stay on track
Only by His mercy and grace
Have we been beckoned unto this place

This place they call the "King's Highway"
The same road the King traveled ~ we traverse today

This is the trail for kings and priests
Called to belong to the King of kings
Bearing garments of humility
Until the day unveiled before His majesty

Learning to walk just like Him
Empowered and embraced by His Spirit within
Facing every trial and test
Upon the highway of holiness

Pressing on toward that celestial city beyond our dimension
Giving it all our energy and full attention
Filled with joy, wonder, and praise
The closer we come to the Ancient of Days

Numbers 20:17 Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's highway, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.

Proverbs 16:17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Isaiah 62:10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

Jeremiah 31:21 Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.

1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
