My Life In Words

The Dance

You came into  my life for
alittle while,
You showed me the simple
life and how to smile.

You gave me your heart
and I gave you mine,
We took the future by
the hand left the past
behind.

Upon the pedestal I did
sit,
We gave to eachother more
than anyone could get.

Struggles came our way,
But only for a day.
Our babies were our
plan,
We prayed often to
that man.

Then you got sick
and had to go home,
And left me here to
roam.

The dance I had with
you nobody can take
away,
Not even for a day.

I've learnt to live
without you,
But when I get a
chance,
I remember with a
smile, the dance.
