Only God can heal your broken heart
We need friends who will do their part
It is not easy to accept help from another
But God wants us to be there for each other
A true friend will bring an encouraging word
To reach out when no other voice is heard
People may misunderstand the words we write
It is then we need to look to God for insight
Realize what the person said was out of love
Reflecting the heart and mind of God above
A true friend will ask what your faith is about
To make sure you are saved without any doubt
They may see inconsistencies in your belief
That they may encourage you to seek relief
Please do not think they want to cause harm
Examine yourself; it may be a wake up alarm
I know if I was headed down the wrong road
I would want a friend who is willing to be bold
To encourage and help me to get back on track
By giving me guidance in areas that I may lack

My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves!
Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is
