I have a friend who this poem is about. We are both Old Cowboys His handle is the Wyoming Kid and mine is Montana Smith. This little poem is about us.I hope you enjoy it.
Old Horses, Old Guns, Old Whiskey Many a trial we've rode Crossed a few rivers too Miles of canyons we've been down Always ridin for the sunset Old Horses, Old Guns, Old Whiskey Torn shirts and patched pants Rain soaked hats dried by the sun More dust eatin than a man should stand For the past we live our lives Old Horses, Old Guns, Old Whiskey The eyes grow tired, the gun hand slow Side by side we back each others play Seen the elephant, been round the horn Wind blown hair that's turnin grey Old Horses, Old Guns, Old Whiskey Parched lips, baked skin from the heat When the last showdown comes The end of the trail Be it heaven or hell the Wyoming Kid and Old Montana Smith Will load one last shell For Old Horses, Old Guns, Old Whiskey Edwin J. Smith The Old Cowboy Vote for this poem
