 Tomorrow Scares Me Some
Over time I've written about dreams and onesness
And a united planetary home~
I've even written of values and of wisdom
But the future seems to snowball all on it's own~
As I sometimes look out my yonder window
Every day modern times they just carry on~
With little recolection of where it's been
And sadly I see better days are gone~
If the need for the almighty dollar
Was to over night just disappear~
And for awhile give the earth a chance to smile
Maybe even rid all on earth their fear~
Even in my own time so much has changed
So many things I'll never see again~
When people were not ruled by time it's self
And hard work alone could provide a little gain~
I know the powers that be on earth
Are all mostly in the same big race~
To get ahead and get there first
And the could be fortunes to embrace~
But so much is not being concidered
And I feel I'm talking to the wind that be~
When I voice my heartfelt concerns
For who the hell they feel is me~
I turn on the news to listen
It's always the same thing every day~
So many now just pleasing themselves
Without any concideration for any come what may~
Is the writing on the wall now
Has once peace of mind left home~
As I look at past , present and future
I mostly see this confusion it has bit the bone~
Are we actually past the time zone
Where common sense has us turn around~
And go back to saving the one planet that we live on
Or are some leaving and all who care to stand our ground~
I've always felt thats how we got here
A chosen few came down to earth from space~
The rest stayed for the destruction
Of their once home to die with grace~
I feel history will one day repeat its self
And a chosen few that know more than you and I~
Really have little concern
More than likely would not raise a sigh~
Oh it could well be a long way off
But I like most did our mathamatics~
And in the cord of natures earthly song
I too can hear the statics~
I would love to see a world of care
Where people had compassion first of all~
Instead of solving all with violance
Our very earth is giving us a crying call~
Some they say God helps those that helps themselves
Well a lot are doing that for sure it's true~
And we cannot depend on God alone to help us
He knows and so do we weve a lot to do~
But I think the time is almost past
Where all on earth can turn around~
And go back a little to save ourselves and our planet
Before we completely rape it's value to the ground#
I know one thing for sure in my heart and mind
Tomorrow does scare me some~
I see myself in a dream to come one day
Thinking what in the name of God have we done~
