Do you understand what He did?
Because so many of us have slid;
Into the inner depths of despair,
Loosing all hope without a prayer.
You call Him teacher and as Lord,
Honored and praised and adored;
But when time to pick up the cross,
No one ever wants to suffer the loss.
One man betrayed others had lied,
And still another three times denied;
Since the situation seemed so perplex,
Everyone wanted to save their necks.
Just as today no one wants to commit,
Each one acting more like a hypocrite;
Supportive and boastful as Jesus paves,
But alone not wanting to make waves.
What the Scriptures say had to come true,
For a pathway from sin for me and you;
Truly if you firmly believe in the Christ,
Then for eternal life we must be sacrificed.
