^j^ Fallen Angel ^j^

A lovely sweet angel lost her way
Down to Hell she fell one day
In heaven's garden large and green
She stumbled upon some roots unseen
Her tender wings did not have strength
She tried to fly but down she went
Down where the angels feared to go
Where ugly demons roved to and fro
Oh she trembled and became scared
Nothing could have made her prepared
For that different change of ugly scene
She looked for a bridge to link between
The pit of Hell and her heavenly home
But there was none, she was alone
Burnt tree trunks stood tall and black
She feared the evil one's swift attack
Sulfuric fumes poisoned the thick air
She heard lost souls scream in her ear
Flames licked around her tender feet
Doomed sinners burnt in the melting heat
Her angel friends heard her cries
But they were too scared to even try
To rescue their poor fallen friend
It looked like the angel had met her end
Suddenly in the dark, again she fell
Where she was going she could not tell
Her heart beat widely as she awoke
She said a prayer and then she spoke
"It was a dream! I'm not in Hell!"
Praise the Lord, I'm alive and well"
I was that angel young and fair
And in my dark dreams I was there
