How I Love Those Pumpkins

A word of praise for the humble pumpkin
If only more they knew~
A vegitable so full of goodness
Which with what so much one can do~
Every country has them
In Australia it's the big Queensland blue~
Large and so full of taste are they
Since the first time that they grew~
Pumpkin soup / scones and baked
I know the best resipes for them I do~
I use them every chance I get
Even add them to a stew~
A must qwith a sunday roast
All baked and slightly crisp and hot~
Along side of a large leg of lamb
Now theres a feed you'v got~
Making pumkin soup theres a trick
Boil sliced pumkin in it's skin~
Then take it out and take off the skin
A mixer then pop the pumkin in~
Add a few cup of pure cream
And turn the mixer on~
Then you got pumkin soup
You'll like it all along~
I cook and mash it with potato
It's beautiful at the least~
After a hard days work for anyone
Now theres a harty feast~
Yep you guessed it I like pumpkins
I do I'm telling you~
Matter of a fact tonight
I might go and get a few ~
