As I Frantically Search For A Cure
I crumple lotto tickets
smiling at last nights chance,
the luck of the draw
is an amazing thing,
I wanna make life easy
for them, I don't want
them to worry, I just
want them smiling, happy,
easy, they have gotten too
old for life to be difficult,
they are fine
but I want an extra
miracle for them,
I wanna give them something new,
a beautiful garden outside their
door, butterflies and birds, I want
them to feel as if they still have
forever, tell them here now
smile, be happy, you've accomplished
so much, you did it right, nothings
changed but time, cruel sweet time,
you deserve
what this world
could never give.
